500hr Yoga Teacher
Marissa has been an international yoga teacher for over two years, falling in love with the positive transformation both herself and others gain through a consistent practice. Her 500 hours of training focused on human anatomy along with the philosophical side of yoga. She is very knowledgeable of various yoga poses and how they assist the body and mind.
Marissa's experience includes creating yoga classes that reflect the abilities of students of all ages, body types and skill levels, combining asana (poses) with pranayama (breath work) and meditation for a balanced practice. While she tends to teach various levels of a Vinyasa flow, Marissa enjoys sharing Yin, Hatha and Restorative practices as well. She uses her intuition to best help her students, creating a class that is encouraging of one's abilities but challenging as well.
While teaching and healing are where her passions lie, her vision is to create retreats that provide space and support as you begin the journey inward. Stay tuned for destination retreats!
